Egress Window In-Swing 29" x 47" Wellcraft Acrylic Block
Egress windows are now required in all basement living spaces per the International Residential Code (IRC) for use in emergency situations. These windows enable occupants to easily and safely evacuate the home during an emergency scenario and they also provide entrance to firefighters and other emergency personnel should they need to access the home.
The Wellcraft In-Swing Egress Window is attractive and provides for quick/easy fire escape. By adding a basement egress window instead of a full door the resident is able to more fully utilize the living space without the worry of blocking an egress door exit.
Rule of Thumb: Egress Windows must be installed in rooms where people will sleep.
By IRC Code: The minimum allowable height for an egress window is 24" and the window must have a minimum of 5.7 sq ft total opening to allow for escape. The 29" x 47" Slider Wellcraft meets this and allows easy egress out of the residence.
Currently there is a 4-6 week lead time on all Egress Windows.
