Inserta Tee Lateral Connections for Mainlines
Inserta Tee is a three-piece service connection consisting of a PVC hub, rubber sleeve and stainless steel band. Inserta Tee compression fits into the cored wall of a mainline and requires no special tooling except for the Inserta Tee hole saw bits. Inserta Tees are designed to connect 2” (51 mm) through 30” (750 mm) services to all known solid-wall, profile, closed profile and corrugated pipes manufactured today.

The Inserta Tee system allows for tapping of existing lines without disturbing the bedding. It eliminates glues, epoxies, grout and awkward gaskets and the need to re-tighten bands around the mainline. These products are designed to match the internal radius of any pipe and services can be connected where needed. It allows for easier grading of the mainline while decreasing cost by reducing labor hours and pipe materials. Hole saws are available for sale for all sizes of Inserta Tees. Note: Using an installation method contrary to the steps detailed in the Inserta Tee installation instructions as well as using 3rd party hole saws will void the manufacturers warranty on the product.

This specification covers the 24”-24” (50 to 600 mm). The Inserta Tee service connection is used in gravity-flow sewers and drainage applications.The product requirements for the Inserta Tee service connection must include a PVC hub, rubber sleeve, and stainless steel band. It's a compression that fits into the cored walls of a mainline pipe and the hub is made from strong PVC material. The stainless steel clamping assembly is made from a minimum of 301-grade steel.When applicable, the rubber sleeve and gasket will meet the requirements of ASTM F477. The gaskets will be installed by the manufacturer. The water-based solution provided by the manufacturer will be used during the assembly. Do Not use pipe-lube.The Inserta Tee can be set up for any structure or mainline pipe.
