Paver Sealer Remover (SRW SS Sealer Stripper™) is a biodegradable, industrial-strength stripper that removes old acrylic sealers and curing compounds from pavers, wet cast, and natural stone. Also lifts adhesives, dry fog paints, and graffiti. Ready to use — no mixing. This product can be shipped to all continental US states.

  • Coverage: Up to 200 sq. ft. per gallon
  • Apply between: 50°F – 80°F
  • Not for: Plastic, rubber, fiberglass, or stamped concrete

How to use: Brush onto dry pavers in sections no larger than 10 sq. ft. Wait 10 minutes, then pressure wash with a medium (yellow) nozzle until the sealer turns white and peels off. Clean with PW Paver Wash™ or DW Dual Wash™ before resealing.

When a paver sealer clouds over, yellows, or starts peeling, the fix isn't another coat on top — it's taking the failed sealer off and starting clean.

Signs It's Time to Strip

Sealer rarely fails because of the surface — it fails because of the film on top. The usual culprits are over-application, moisture trapped under the coating, or a cheap acrylic that couldn't hold up. You'll see it as a milky-white or hazy cast, a yellow tint, peeling or flaking, or an uneven, blotchy build-up where coats stacked up. Once the film has gone bad, no amount of new sealer will fix the look — it has to come off first.

How to Strip It: Three Steps

Step 1 · Apply

Roll or brush it onto dry pavers in small sections — no larger than about 10 sq ft at a time. It's ready to use straight from the pail; no mixing or thinning.

Step 2 · Wash It Off

Give it time to break down the coating, test the film, then pressure wash the softened sealer away. Reapply to reactivate spots that dry out — stubborn build-up may need a second pass.

Step 3 · Rinse Clean

Rinse the surface down to bare, clean pavers, saturating nearby plants with water before and after. Let it dry fully, then clean it before you reseal.

Timing Is Everything

The single thing that makes or breaks a strip job is when you rinse. Remove too soon and part of the coating stays behind; wait too long and the stripper dries and the sealer re-seals to the surface. Check the film as it works rather than the clock, and only rinse once it's fully lifted — if any sealer re-adheres, hit it again.

What It Works On — and What to Avoid

Concrete pavers, clay pavers, permeable pavers, and wetcast, plus natural stone like granite, quartz, marble, travertine, limestone, and bluestone or sandstone. It also lifts adhesives, fog paint, and graffiti from hardscape.

✗ Keep it off

Stamped concrete, plastic and plastic composites, rubber, and fiberglass. Prolonged contact can etch metal and other surfaces, so protect anything nearby — and always test an inconspicuous area first.

  • • Temperature: apply between 50°F and 80°F for best results

  • • Safety: wear eye protection and rubber gloves, and pre-soak surrounding vegetation
  • • Then reseal: clean the surface once it's stripped and dry so your new sealer bonds properly
