This 4 inch lead free MasterSeries® configurable design double check valve backflow preventer assembly is designed with a longer lay length for drop-in replacement of competitor N-pattern valves, and prevents the backflow of pollutants that are objectionable but not toxic, from entering into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage and or backpressure. It is ideal for protection of non-health hazard cross-connections or containment at the service line entrance. This assembly consists of ductile iron fused epoxy coated body construction, two independent check valves, replaceable stainless steel check seats, ball valve test cocks, and non-rising stem resilient wedge gate valves. The maximum working pressure is 175 psi (12.1 bar). The coating on this backflow assembly uses ArmorTek®, a patented 3-part advanced epoxy coating system designed to limit both microbial induced (MIC) and exposed metal substrate corrosion.
