Our 2-Sided Butyl Tape is insoluble with an aggressive adhesive that bonds instantly on contact. With the easy-to-remove release liner, the installation process is quick and clean.
The tape is typically used to adhere plastic sheeting to porous surfaces such as concrete in crawl spaces or seam overlapping panels. The surfaces to be taped should be clean and dry. For a secure seam, remove accumulations of dust as well.
It obtains optimum adhesion when the intended surfaces to be bonded are warm or at least 45°F or more. External heat may be required when installing it at lower temperatures.
