SKAPS M220 is a superior quality, geotextile composed of high tenacity polypropylene yarns which are woven to form a dimensionally stable network, which allows the yarns to maintain their relative position.

The fabric is inert to biological degradation and naturally encountered chemicals, alkalis, and acids. Polypropylene is stable within a ph range of 2 to 13.

SKAPS woven geotextiles are individual threads (monofilaments, multi-filaments, fibrillated yarns) or slit films and tapes that are actually woven on a loom. Typically, woven geotextile fabrics can be used for stabilization, separation, reinforcement, and erosion control applications. Woven geotextile fabrics strive to provide dimensional stability and deliver superior load distribution.

SKAPS Industries woven geotextiles typically hold a higher strength to weight ratio in comparison with their non-woven needle-punched geotextiles. In comparison to non-woven geotextiles, woven geotextiles typically maintain slower drainage characteristics due to their smaller pore sizes. Therefore, woven geotextiles are less likely to be applied in engineered areas that require high filtration and drainage characteristics.
