The Underground Pipe Root Barrier is an herbicide nodule fabric that can be used to protect your pipes from root damage. This product can be used in vertical or horizontal applications and wrapped around pipes to stop root tip cell division. The herbicide used is called Trifluralin and is safe for trees as it only stops root growth wherever the fabric is placed.
This product allows nutrients, water, and air to move through the fabric so it does not adversely affect the soil hydrology.
